Welcome to the new website of the Brooklyn Bridge Park. The Brooklyn Bridge Park Development Corporation is working with a design team of award-winning professionals as well as the local community to create a world class waterfront park along the East River.

When completed, this 1.3 mile, world-class park on the Brooklyn’s waterfront will add much-needed open space for Brooklyn and New York City residents. It will reconnect the citizens of Brooklyn to their waterfront, replacing abandoned piers, parking lots and storage sheds with opportunities to play sports, stroll, or just lounge at the water’s edge. And it will contribute to the extraordinary revitalization of waterfront in the New York Harbor, serving as a bridge from the commercial uses of previous centuries to the recreational uses of the future.

The Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) and General Project Plan (GPP) for the Brooklyn Bridge Park are available for download at this site. A hard copy of these documents can be obtained by calling (212) 803-3815 or by emailing us at brooklynbridgepark@empire.state.ny.us.

We hope you will take the time to read about Brooklyn Bridge Park and participate in its creation.
